Correct. The numbers are reducing quickly and I can see some tier 2 areas going into tier 1, but for anyone in tier 3, I reckon Christmas is written off....

I’m a Walton ex-pat so football aside I definitely got the better of the deal. More than happy for most people to think of me as a Geordie day to day.

I have a lunch booked in a restaurant on Dec23rd with Mrs Chewbacca, my bro and sis-in-law. We now can’t meet up in the restaurant as we are tier 3. However, I can go to the restaurant on that date, knock on the door of the fully staffed kitchen to pick up the meal as a takeaway and tootle off to my bro’s house to meet up with them there.

As I say, I didn’t get to Eton for their world class education, so I’m just a poor comprehensive scholar trying to follow the logic.
