The occupancy in acute/general hospital beds are falling. 3700 critical care beds for adults, hopefully free up acute beds to make them critical care beds, maybe 30k. No word on occupancy of critical bets so far.

Genuinely confused about the testing procedure. I called this morning to tell them that the symptoms persist, so I had a swab and was told to wait for results. Shouldn't there be clearer guidelines for what to do in the meantime?

Keep self isolating is the advice as far as I know, until you get your results.

Hope you are ok mate and get well soon.

My work have just emailed us saying that we will be taking a 50% pay cut effective next month. However the catch is we work 60% of our normal hours, are they allowed to do this?

If they can demonstrate that it's entirely necessary for the long term health of the company, then yes. Have they offered redundancies?

No but they’ve offered unpaid leave as another alternative. I wouldn’t be bothered if it was a 50/50 split, it’s just that I’m effectively taking an hourly pay wage cut.

but it doesn't make sense, just because he is not dying thanks to him being younger than 70, does not mean he cannot receive a proper medical care. I don't understand this self isolate and stfu bit from hospitals...

hoping for a speedy recovery @Number_25

We got the an email today that face to face assessments are not being done for the 3 months.
However we have to go in to do paper based assessment work which involves up to around 40 to 50 medical professionals and support staff together in the clinic.

My sick note ran out yesterday on Sunday but i refused to go in yesterday because my chest still isn't right and I didn't want to die.

It doesn't seem safe to me to directly contradict what the medical directives around social distance and isolation are.

When my chest is fine which it is usually fine I wouldn't put myself in any major risk category. However I have a long history of treatment resistant severe chest infections with asthmatic complications that including the one I've been fighting for the last couple of weeks and if I were to to contract the Corona virus I believe I would be in critical danger..
.
In my opinion my chest should be back to fairly standard order in 2-3 days now however my immune system has been through hell and I am extremely fatigued. Until yesterday I was choking on saliva within around 20-30 mins of falling asleep and my body is aching.

My doctor is not great in mum is in that he doesn't listen. He told me on two separate appointments not to worry because it wasn't corona and he didn't have really

Presumably because they are about to be swamped with very serious cases. I'm only guessing based on what's been said
