Could you give me a brief summary of your strategy please
Step 1: Siphon some petrol off from next door neighbours car - cost savings in mind.

Step 2: Liberally coat care home in siphoned petrol.

Step 3: Introduce lit match to proceedings. Add a sense of occasion by playing Ottwans ‘disco inferno’ through my phones speaker. Realise Ottwan didn’t perform disco inferno so play ‘D.I.S.C.O.’ Instead. Shout inferno to cover up this mistake.

Step 4: ???

Step 5: COVID deaths in care homes eliminated. Great job!

Possible challenges- the dampness of the elderly may mitigate the cleansing property of fire. Neighbour may become over zealous on contents of fuel tank. Arson possibly illegal?

This is precisely the sort of forward thinking attitude that's been missing, if we claim back the neighbours petrol on expenses as well then we've solved the problem and made a bit of money.

Hired.

Can't force the vaccine on people.

But if you don't believe in the science then don't call an ambulance if you get sick when you could have been vaccinated.
They have 40 million ordered, which has to be given twice, so that's 20 million vaccinations, most of us will be waiting for the other vaccines.

To an extent it is but if only 50% of pensioners want to take the vaccine we are going to be in the same position each winter?

There are a huge number of people out there who don't want to take a vaccine.

Take up of this years flu vaccine in the elderly is well ahead of where it normally is at this time of year.

A gobby few old buggers on the news and the internet saying they won't get vaccinated shouldn't be taken as being representative of the silent lurkers.

I also wonder if at some point you’ll have to be required to carry proof of vaccination to be admitted to large gatherings like sporting events. Surveys have shown millions won’t get a vaccine, even if proven safe and offered for free.

Don't know about the States, but I can't see that happening in the UK. However, I can see proof of up to date vaccination giving you priority when crossing countries boundaries.

Vaccine up to date = Straight on the plane and straight through customs at the other end

No vaccine = Take, and pass a test before boarding, at your cost of about £100.

People will soon get themselves vaccinated over here, maybe less so in the States where crossing country boundaries isn't quite so common.

All the students getting tested and going home en masse for the hols sounds like a shambles waiting to happen.
Do they get tested when they return as well?
I think we should be told.
