One of the perils of having no social media is only just finding out a soft play centre for kids refused to close and quoted the Magna Carta to the police that came to shut down his premises. I hope he turns up to court in full armour with his banner men the clown

Actually I have a framed copy of the Magna Carta, should have put it up in the pub ffs......
 
Hospital figures - 333 deaths were announced today, up 148 on yesterday and up 96 on last Tuesday. 300 deaths were in English hospitals, up 133 on yesterday and up 75 on last week with 278 occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average rises to 293.43

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 532 deaths were announced today (sweet baby Jesus), up 338 on yesterday and up 135 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 360

For the 60 day cut off, 552 deaths were announced today (god no), up 349 on yesterday and up 138 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 374.71

Between the mental health impacts of lockdowns, isolation and the apparent impacts on mental health of the virus itself I really hope there are more resources devoted to it in the coming months.
Anxiety, depression and insomnia were most common among recovered COVID-19 patients in the study who developed mental health problems. The researchers from Britain’s Oxford University also found significantly higher risks of dementia, a brain impairment condition.

“People have been worried that COVID-19 survivors will be at greater risk of mental health problems, and our findings ... show this to be likely,” said Paul Harrison, a professor of psychiatry at Oxford. Doctors and scientists around the world urgently need to investigate the causes and identify new treatments for mental illness after COVID-19, Harrison said.
 

It will be interesting to see the other vaccine results start to come out here shortly. If we get one or two more with similar efficacy results, the timeline could accelerate.

I also wonder if at some point you’ll have to be required to carry proof of vaccination to be admitted to large gatherings like sporting events. Surveys have shown millions won’t get a vaccine, even if proven safe and offered for free.
