We have had this dance before; you and I both know that pubs like yours and mine are chalk and cheese to the city centre bars, but there was no way the Govt would or could say that only some pubs should shut. They even had to cave in in lock down Mk 1 when the HOC bars stayed open.

There is a morality aspect there

That even if we incarcerate people for crimes it shouldn’t be something that kills them? if so I agree.

More so , if those who died were imprisoned for crimes that made them a little bit evil, then noone should care about that.

A petty dealer or thief shouldn't be dying from it but anything below the line why care?

Because I don’t support the death penalty for any crime and even if I did I would not support the state killing people , by neglect or otherwise, in such a painful way as Covid.

And a lot of people in US jails ARE petty dealers or thieves plus a not insignificant percentage who haven’t even been convicted yet and are incarcerated because they cannot afford bail.

Which again I go back to the morality of it. A petty criminal being that 6% is completely different to saying murderers/peadophile/rapists are those 6%. Apply all the morals you want to but from my perspective , not many people would care if a load of evil bastards lost their life to covid , certainly not the victims.
