I think Anderson is putting on a brave face there. Under 8000 a day over the first 3 days isn't making much dent into a population of what, 600,000? He can't be happy with that.

Come on Liverpool, get yourself down to the testing stations pronto. Not only will it help the people of Liverpool fight this monstrosity and come out of lockdown quicker, but it will also give the scientists a much clearer picture of infection levels rather than working on assumptions, and it will help measure the accuracy of this new quick result test. This quick test, if accurate enough, will help the country return to some form of normality pending the introduction of a vaccine.

As I've said before, Liverpool has been given a unique opportunity here. You could see in last nights documentary what that meant to Joe Anderson.

I’d say 90% of the parents have taken it up.

Great to hear it's being done properly, and that the majority are going ahead with it.

Sadly, you'll probably find that the 10% are also one of the reasons the country's actually in lockdown at the moment.
