Still worth mentioning it's the second respiratory virus within 17 years to come out of China.

Both were covered up by the country .

And Sars was sars-cov-1 , this is sars cov 2.

He's got a point. That was 7th November...just a couple of nights earlier there was a mysterious smoky fog in many areas after dark....

They have been mass producing it in Belgium for about a month , prior to it getting passed through as safe.

Probably the bigger challenges are logistical in terms of having sufficient vials to supply it in, as well as suitable storage as well as shipping if things continue to go well. Great news though today !!!

I'm pretty sure we're ( the NHS ) are already geared up to use this vaccine soon after it gets approved. Not 30 million , but probably enough to vaccinate health care workers and the most vulnerable ?

If I remember rightly, the deal with Pfizer means we've agreed to pay at least part of the costs up front regardless of whether the vaccine gets approved or not, which means the risk of starting manufacture before approval is shared between business and government ? To be fair, I'm not totally sure about that bit though.

Sorry but I don't think that's the case. From what i read Pfizer took on all the costs with all payments to them at the back end provided the vaccine was approved (there were all these news stories about governments purchasing millions of doses, though they all stated - though not in line 1 - that it was all contingent on approval). For Pfizer, there was a front page article in Forbes about it describing how much their expected outlay was to be.....

It wasn`t until very recently that I learnt that hanging people without trial, firing rubber bullets at them, kettling them, beating them with batons and running them down with horses was a left wing thing either.

I wonder who would be more likely to be in favour of forced vaccination as well?

Perhaps we can get some sort of odds going. Anyone fancy a betting pool on the first posters in this thread to demand the vaccine be mandatory and anyone who refuses to be detained in room 101 and subject to some form of torture?

Well judging by the success they’ve had in screwing up the West and the RoW economies and the deaths, I imagine they are working very hard on releasing the next one within two years.....

they could well be, which makes it imperative that our Government does what Taiwan and SK have done and get a properly effective defence against it rather than the leaking colostomy bag of a response that they've paid Serco to come up with so far
