I listened to a podcast recently and the guy was saying he expected a vaccine available and ready in Q1 of 2021, with the priority categories to then be determined - front line workers, elderly etc, then mass production and distribution to be set up. No small feat, considering you need a cold chain of refrigeration from production to administration.

He was expecting the average American to be in with a shout of vaccination towards the end of next year.

If they manage to get it approved by end of November, that would of course speed that timeline up. Sounds like much needed good news today.

The guy was Nicholas A. Christakis, Natural Science at Yale University, where he directs the Human Nature Lab and is the Co-Director of the Yale Institute for Network Science, and he got across a lot of complex information in an understandable way.
