They looked more like a load of scruffs and kids from the left.....

I've come across people from across the spectrum who do not agree with the second lockdown. Not everything is a left or right issue and I don't think this is. People's opinions on this are largely determined by their own personal circumstances. If someone is worried about providing for their family this winter, they might well not support these measures. It's often nothing to do with their politics.

The protests are almost an apolitical potluck of ideas. Watching a video from the Liverpool protests there was a lot of ‘Tory scum’ shouts at the police that were trying to disperse them.

I know from your perspective you’ll equate the more ‘libertarian’ views there that governments have no right to ‘lock people up’ as the ultimate expression of a right wing viewpoint, I’d see it more as not even being on the political spectrum. Regardless whether right wing or left wing there is an idea of society adapting to deal with crisis and there needs to be a government whether large or small.

These are just crackpots that have been completely disenfranchised.

They're not of the left these people. There is no left wing organisation that endorses them. And neither would you expect there to be so.

They are lumpen proles who provide the human fodder for fascists - I'd even hesiatate to call them libertarian, as that would give them an ideological gloss they dont deserve. They are people who have zero discipline to put aside their old lifestyle for a period for the common good. They just care about their ale and their holidays their eat out food and their "beauty" treatments (most of them are ugly gets anyway so I dont know why they're arsed about that).
