A pharmaceutical company founded by Germans is going to save everyone’s lives

Isn’t it ironic

Yeah, a 12 year old German company with 1,300 employees and funded by America and Singapore works with 171 year old Pfizer’s 88,000 employees and saves the world.....now that’s ironic.....

What about the rest of us? Can Pvitzer be forced to share their recipe?
Doubt it, especially as they were the one company that did not sign up to the US government Operation Warp speed plan which shared in some of the costs of development.

However as I understand it there are several other companies with a similarly designed type of vaccine so hopeful those also pan out.

Edit
“The results are really quite good, I mean extraordinary" -Fauci on @pfizer vaccine results

This could also bode well for the @moderna_tx vaccine, which uses the same technology “which gives you hope we might even have two vaccines”

You just know they'll make a mess of rolling it out - be shocked if the majority of the vulernable get it before mid 2021 when they should have the army on the streets pumping this into folk en masse

The logistics of getting the Pfizer vaccine to people will be horrendous. It has to be kept at minus 60 Celsius so you can't just stick it in a big fridge in an army truck.

On the plus side, I bought one of those bif chuff off super-freezer lorries a few months ago, so am available for hire.

I thought I heard that earlier. The temp, not your lorry.

This might be the daftest thing I have asked in all this, which takes some doing, but it is defrosted to inject I assume?

I know people will scoff at this but I've thought it ever since I read about how the Chinese could conquer America in a non-military way. America's (Republican) paranoid sabre-rattling affects the whole of the western world.
It's easy, cheap labour by disposal of employment health and safety, holidays sick leave and pensions. However, in China it was never implementing these benefits that made their businesses so exportable and shareholder so hungry for Chinese products. No Unison Unite etc in China.

I would hope if they are being given special measures to go to market earlier this is factored into descompensation normal patenting terms.
