They looked more like a load of scruffs and kids from the left.....
I've come across people from across the spectrum who do not agree with the second lockdown. Not everything is a left or right issue and I don't think this is. People's opinions on this are largely determined by their own personal circumstances. If someone is worried about providing for their family this winter, they might well not support these measures. It's often nothing to do with their politics.

The protests are almost an apolitical potluck of ideas. Watching a video from the Liverpool protests there was a lot of ‘Tory scum’ shouts at the police that were trying to disperse them.
I know from your perspective you’ll equate the more ‘libertarian’ views there that governments have no right to ‘lock people up’ as the ultimate expression of a right wing viewpoint, I’d see it more as not even being on the political spectrum. Regardless whether right wing or left wing there is an idea of society adapting to deal with crisis and there needs to be a government whether large or small.
These are just crackpots that have been completely disenfranchised.

It wasn`t until very recently that I learnt that hanging people without trial, firing rubber bullets at them, kettling them, beating them with batons and running them down with horses was a left wing thing either.
I have a couple of friends who have been drawn into this anti Covid stuff as well. These guys are generally more left then right but the videos that they have shared on Facebook have originall been shared by people who are right wing. You only have to go through their timeline to see anti Covid, anti labour and now the Biden is a peodo posts

TBF it does take a certain amount of cognitive dissonance to look at Farage relaunching his scam with an anti-lockdown theme, to see UKIP candidates faking rows with cops, to see the Mail, Express, Torygraph and other rags claiming that the lockdown isn’t necessary or to look at the social media feeds of people fighting the lockdown and come to the conclusion it is both left and right sides involved.
