That.
Have you considered that your neighbours may rely on their parents?
Take someone’s support network away and they could be dealing with a whole lot more than a virus that has a low mortality rate.
Lockdown until around 15 Dec I reckon, or a bit closer to Christmas.
It won't be 4 weeks and it won't be at Christmas.
Very VERY good point this.Funny how its only a national lockdown now their precious London has started seeing an increase in cases.
Never gave a toss the last month or so when the North was getting hammered with new cases.
Lockdown the country until Dec 1st then see how busy city centres and shops will be with people going Xmas shopping in a short concentrated period.
Daft idea imo - anyway let me get me haircut then do what you want.
I thought around the 20th; just so they can get it as low as possible before the entire country spreads it around again.
And this is another very good point that often gets forgot.Research beginning to emerge of how better we are getting at treating Covid, impacting the mortality rate in comparrison to earlier in the pandemic.
They bring up talks about a vaccine when they’re under pressure. No vaccine is forthcoming. Even if there was a vaccine, how successful is the one for the flu, 6% success rate? It's saying a vaccine alone wont be the silver bullet.
...which is what I said.
Whilst this virus is killing people have you forgot about other things that are killing people? No offence, but I love how you lot get on the high horse about caring for people whilst also belittling a disease that would if left unchecked kill hundreds of thousands here, and which has killed 60000 plus.
And this is another very good point that often gets forgot.
In all the feat mongering projected numbers and oh my god we will all die message that keeps getting peddled, doctors and nurses have a much better idea of treating people. So less will die because of 7 months of knowledge.
Hospital space may still be an issue but less people will die from covid this time around.
