Johnson?I'm not looking to belittle anyone's death or the seriousness of it.
But after seven months of learning how to tackle this thing, lockdowns as the only answer is ludicrous.

It's a crisis that is being used as a mechanism for control.
There is no science behind any of this. And fear is being used to control people.
It isn't going anywhere but it does little damage to the vast majority of people. We've shut down the world for a bad flu.

That's a selfish cost-benefit analysis.Look, I know it's serious. I know of two people dying, one a relative. The first one, in May, should not have died. They were not vulnerable. They got it in hospital and due to our thin resources at the time, could not be saved.
The second person who died that I knew of - my mate's grandfather - was a chronic COPD patient. As my friend put it, they wouldn't have seen Christmas. It's crap, it doesn't make it any better, but they were the only COVID death in the entire hospital (one of the largest in Yorkshire) that week. An 80-year-old ex-miner who'd had pneumonia earlier this year.
Does stopping someone buying a frying pan (for two weeks) save his life?
My mate tested positive two weeks back. He's had a headache. That's it. He went for a test on the off chance. No other symptom over 2 weeks of isolation other than one day of fever.
How the hell can we track this thing really in that case?
I've felt crap all weekend. I'm tired from work, run down and the weather is changing. It happens. If I went and got a test I'd probably test positive - I've got the same symptoms as my mate had, but it's exactly what I'd have if I just had a cold (which is obviously likely). I haven't had any contact with him in 3-4 weeks.
What am I going to do though, completely stop my life? Stop going to work and earning money I desperately need? I can't afford to. I'll just have to get on with it and follow precautions.
Mate, c'mon, stop putting us young adults to shame with nonsense like this. Sounding like a stupid child here.
I mean, the “control” narrative may be a little tinfoil hat, when sheer incompetence is the most likely cause of the mess we’re in rather than any dastardly malevolent plot.
However the poster stating the virus doesn’t really hurt a vast majority of people is correct.
“Despite making up 50% of England's population, under 40s account for just 0.78% of deaths, and healthy under-40's account for just 0.12% of deaths (39 deaths to date). Over-60's with pre-existing conditions account for 87.92% of deaths.”
These are statistics provided by the NHS. They aren’t daily mail, telegraph manipulated figures. The fact that bringing this up is seen as controversial is a bit mad. Like, I’m happy to comply with restrictions to protect those more at risk, especially those in my family. But the narrative that we’re all at equal risk hence why we need to all be under the same restrictions is a bit daft at this point when the fatality rates are now well documented.
Sorry to hear that mateHope so mate - already lost someone I know to the virus dont want any others being affected.
Cant wait for my lad to be able to give his great grandmother a proper hug

Millions of younger people are suffering health consequences of getting Covid19.They are only that low because of the lockdowns. If you let it free, it will fill up the hospitals and then the death rates will go up because there is only the potential to save so many. Not just with covid but other illnesses too.
Even then granted we're still not talking about a huge amount of people under 40 but more than should be acceptable for any nation to class as casualties of a (controllable) virus.
When governments can write off people with little thought then we all should worry, one day you could find yourself in the over 60 group that the number of deaths will skyrocket if left unchecked. You may have a few miles more on the clock and the wear and tear that goes with that, but still you won't be happy if someone gives you a 25% chance you're going to lose a possible 20 years of your life.

Even on that level the 'let it rip' divvies are wrong.
It's not far off eugenics what 'the clever people' on here and elsewhere are advocating with their views. They should own that much if they want to argue that point.
Many of the covid deaths are pneumonia.
Haha, the current government would rather ignore it and let it take its toll, you're pretty much following what they would opt for given a free choice Shaun.I think we can all agree its a absolute joke to lockdown the country again city by city and think they are kidding the uk..
alot of sheep like so alot follow the govt blindley, but what a fool you must be to beileve what they say
the virus is a MYTH
