I’ve seen those things too. We’ve been looking at it as part of our recruitment policy with a view to improving diversity.To be fair, the value of a degree is less the actual knowledge you gain as the signal you can provide to the labour market that you're reasonably intelligent in a particular field. There's been a few studies lately showing that graduates from top tier universities aren't that much more capable than graduates from more mediocre institutions, but obviously their pay once they graduate is poles apart.
