Do a Google or other search for "Long Covid". You'll get articles/reports you can read at your leisure.

I have done and they provide no actual answer.
Yeah, it's all fake news to stop 'liberty loving individuals' stuffing their gobs with pasties, lifting weights and having their back crack and sack waxed.

'sake.
So what is it?

What are the symptoms? The issues?

However, the virus emerged only at the end of 2019 before going global earlier this year so there is a lack of long-term data.

There is nowhere near enough scientific data at this point nor has there been enough analysis. Fatigue is listed as one of the main symptoms of people who are said to be suffering with long Covid- that’s so incredibly vague that at this point it’s not worth getting worked up over.

And before you mention the more severe side effects:

Let’s not pretend that long term complications from any virus are not possible. This is nothing new.
Yeah, I'm sure you're right. It mustn't exist.

'Long Covid' sufferers are soon to be recognised by the NHS and offered care.

Those suffering with so-called long Covid have reported breathlessness, chronic fatigue, brain fog and other complications including issues with the heart, lungs, kidneys and musculoskeletal problems - months after initially falling ill with the virus.

Some suffering from persistent symptoms did not fall badly ill with the virus at any point or need hospitalisation, but have remained poorly for months.

Now the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) and the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (Sign) have said that new guidance is being drawn up to help guide the care for people who suffer long-term complications.

I never said they did not exist. Nowhere do you say out of the 66,000 how many of them are suffering from the most severe complications. There are countless examples of people contracting common viruses and suffering severe, long lasting and debilitating consequences. I literally just gave you one where a poor man lost a leg. There have been studies done which have shown the common cold to induce myocarditis.

The number of people with long-Covid appears to be falling with time.

However, the virus emerged only at the end of 2019 before going global earlier this year so there is a lack of long-term data.

"We've asked, deliberately, to follow people for 25 years, I certainly hope only a very small number will have problems going beyond a year, but I could be wrong," said Prof Brightling.

So basically “long” means a few months? You need YEARS to be able to claim long term effects. Years of actual study. Again, you spouting out general symptoms means nothing. Do a majority of people suffer these complications? If all 66,000 people have breathing problems, heart issues and kidney failure then please show me the clinical data for this.

Here’s an article from 2009 about swine flu:

However, as with any viral infection, there could be longer-lasting health problems. It is thought that chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as myalgic encephalopathy (ME), can be triggered by viruses, including flu. The symptoms of ME can range from tiredness and recurrent mild illnesses to debilitating conditions that can affect every area of a person's life.

So let’s not act like “chronic fatigue” following a virus is novel to Covid 19.

And as I mentioned and as you ignored the common cold and flu can also lead to serious complications. I’ll give you plenty of actual scientific studies if you want showing how
Influenza can cause long term neurological or cardiac effects. Shall we bunker down for all of time? I mean the argument has now shifted from how deadly the virus is to the long term effects. Basically whatever it takes to get the lockdown you want right?

I've just done a Google search and a lot of stuff came up, including articles from BMJ, BBC, Independent, ITV, NICE and other.
Yes the same ones I have read

That offer no actual explanation , specific symptoms or connection other than a loose covid one.

See I'm not saying it's not a thing. But without actual evidence to what it is then it's guesswork. I was reading an article about drinking during pregnancy and they have a term for it amazingly enough. They have mapped out everything from the effects on the mother to behavioural characteristics of the children.

Just naming possible things means nothing without actual proof. Especially with no context as to why people get long term effects and some dont.

But this is all by the by, because you stated originally that Long Covid was a sidestep tactic by people looking to 'amplify' the severity of the virus and wanting to impose tighter restrictions.

Now you're accepting its existence and comparing it with other illnesses that cause the same effects.

So it's there, it's not a tactic. It's not a strategy. It's a bone fide outcome for many when they contract the virus.

Could Trump relapse?
From what lung specialist stephen holgate was saying on sky it is not so much a relapse but just how the illness progresses going through a small latency period and then onto the so called second wave where the immune system goes in to overdrive. By no means a certainty but a possibility

There are currently (declared) 66,000 cases being treated.

It's all fake news though.

Thank god for that, you had me worried with the 66k complications. And of course I saw on here about the brothers aged 29 and 30 that got seriously ill and one died. But that must be fake news too as it only affects the old and seriously ill. I don't know why they are trying to pull our legs so much.

By acknowledging this fact surely you understand the serious consequences of virus triggered ME? Remember it is still thought that only a tiny percentage has had covid, so opening up society too quickly could cause these numbers to multiply. These people could need caring for and that in itself has a knock on effect to the economy.

If only NICE and SIgn had consulted kenshin and deckard they could’ve saved themselves all that bother
