My Mrs lost her job in March and still hasn’t been able to find one despite being willing to take a pay cut from her previous role.
Because of this she has suffered from panic attacks and is back on medication for anxiety and depression.
Suppose she should stop cryarsing as well?
The stuff from you and davek mate is dreadful in here. Proper I’ll be alright jack type of stuff.
I don’t think either of you are living in the real world and seeing the impact this is having on people.
Incidentally, the NHS are still being made to do home visits so not everyone is working from home,even though remote consultations worked really well.
Did you even read my post? I told him to stop cryarsing about dream jobs because he’s still in a much better position than others - like your missus.

Again, I don’t think your posts are rooted in reality. Do you know anyone impacted by this pandemic?
I know loads and I’m seeing too many people on the scrapheap and it needs to be avoided at all costs.

He hasn’t lost his job... he has a job.
Right if you’re asking the bold you clearly haven’t read my posts and this is a pointless conversation.
Stop doing this everytime you get called out.
Have the conviction to stick by your points.
You’re telling people who have lost their jobs to stop cryarsing and go and stack shelves, even if they’ve got a job vastly inferior job to what they had before.
You don’t see the issue with this? Do you not see how this happening to thousands, possible millions of people could cause chaos to the job market?
I’m just asking for you and davek to show some humility and empathy to the situation of thousands of people.

You told him to stop cryarsing because he has a job still after losing out on his dream because other people are worse off. As if the fact that somebody else will always have it worse in life is either a revelation or a magic cure for anxiety or sadness.

All those people will be ABLE to get back on theoir feet again eventually, many wont if their sector isn't shut down. THAT is the point.
I’m telling people to be grateful for the position they find themselves in A.K.A. a bit of perspective. I empathise for people losing their jobs; some of my friends have lost their jobs; I just don’t care much for people whinging they can’t do their dream job right now when the reason they can’t do it isn’t because the gov hates them it’s because we’re slap bang in the middle of a pandemic.
The world will recover and hopefully everyone gets another crack at their dream job but right now we should all be thankful for what we have.
