I dont see how the curfew will improve anything really. I think it creates house parties which are far more dangerous so not sure id have gone for a 10pm closing time.

London probably needs separate rules too since everyone uses public transport to get home. Its a completely different case to anywhere else in the UK.

I dont even care myself because I've been in one pub since they reopened. Not my scene really at all. But I just see the 10pm curfew as counterproductive.

Is this not the extreme though ?

Around by me 12 - 15 licensed premises, all doors locked and lights out at 10pm, streets deserted.

I’m sure it’ll be the same in most places outside of London

Its the old cost/benefit thing for me. Is the benefit of all this worthwhile when considering if it will help stop the virus?

I'm not convinced it will be that effective in stopping the virus spreading, but it could do an awful lot of damage to these businesses over the winter.

The “ bubbles “ seem to be working well in the schools around by us.

No schools shut down, despite quite a few kids testing positive.

A lot of it does seem to be down to the actual schools being well equipt tho
The public won't consent to another lockdown though. I dont think it would work a second time.

They will if shops shut as well as pubs and restaurants. But that couldn't happen without furlough which is about to go, so who knows.

It’ll be like prohibition.

People will always try to find way around it and that’s where criminality comes in.

University is a big problem.

The courses could have easily be done at home but then what about the 9k a year plus the landlords missing out on the student rent and young people being used as scapegoats.
