Bit of a shame that our working relations with Germany is so poor at the moment or we could setup a bilateral with their officials to discuss Kurzarbeit minutiae :coffee:
If we know anything from the last 4 years, is when it comes to our European partners, we don't need to ask or discuss.

We simply ring up, say 'hello this is Great Britain', we state our demands, they meekly refuse, we affirm our exceptionalism and, knowing they are bettered, they submissively comply. It's a very simple process.

Ah at least we're learning not to use "United Kingdom". Progress.

Could do with a breakdown of age, living conditions, employment, other health issues, dont know if such things are collected but it would help identifying potential hot spots
It would also provide evidence as to whether there really is a second wave or whether the increase in detected positive cases is a result not just of the massive expansion of the search for cases but also a testing focus targeted on sub-groups of the population who,for the sort of reasons you name, are more vulnerable to infection.
Back in March, one John Ioannidis, eminent professor of both medicine and statistics, warned that Covid-19 may turn out to be 'an evidence fiasco'. His worries have already been proven well founded. Unfortunately the full extent of the fiasco has yet to gain public prominence.

France had 77 deaths yesterday, Spain around 100 i think
Despite having the most restrictive approach in Europe to try and counter the virus they are now the top two affected in the resurgence. Down the road, the least restrictive regime (Sweden) finds itself in the bottom handful amongst European countries COVID death rates. So naturally the way to address our own (seeming) growing problem is to follow............

Mate I can count on one hand how many times I’ve had the flu since my teens! I’m 44 now I don’t need it or want it
I've never had it and I'm with you on this one. Early December though I did have symptoms subsequently recognised as Covid symptoms. Needless to say I'm a sceptic over when the virus first hit these shores.
