There should be no need for tighter restrictions, is my general point. We should have a way out of this without them.

Is this some kind of commy wet dream?
The new job scheme seems pretty good ?
'sake.
Yeah, I reckon, headlines for the pensioners, iiuc, businesses expected to pay 50odd pc of wages for 33pc of a worker.not sure the new scheme will save many jobs. The employer will still have to fork out quite a lot

That'll help reduce hours employees need to be in work, and although it stops short of furloughing and shutting down, it'll help.
These the same ones telling us earlier in the year that Sweden had completely gone the wrong way?
Note: I'm not saying the UK taking Sweden's approach would have worked. Apples and oranges, I know. Just shows, nobody knows the best way to sort this and lockdown can't actually be proved to 100% work until we come out of it completely and return to normal life.
Obviously, rates need to be low for that to happen but it has to happen at some point soon.
He didn't say it was equivalent. He said it will help.Well this one pays a third, the old scheme paid up to 80%.
Quite a difference Dave tbf...

I think you're confusing one Dr's opinion with general scientific consensus.
I see Rishi wants to freeze benefits and public sector pay and remove the triple lock on pensions to pay for the pandemic.not sure the new scheme will save many jobs. The employer will still have to fork out quite a lot
