Really? So to turn this around, you’ll willingly sacrifice a life so that a sports club is kept open and running?
Life is being 'sacrificed' as you put it every moment of the day through conscious decisions made by millions of people. You can't live your life in deep depression thinking about it and sobbing over every death we read or hear of. What we focus on is providing for and protecting those who are our nearest and dearest as best we can.
Let me 'turn this around' on you. What would be your personal acceptable trade off in current circumstances between lives ruined and lives saved?

You'd face the person nominated to die to save Everton and make that decision?
No I wouldn't. But, of more relevance, anyone who supported the closure of NHS non-Covid related treatments since March has effectively signed the death warrants of thousands.

Who are the other four?

Woman who works with my mum has a growth on one of her kidneys I think she said, four months later and she’s not had a biopsy because of Covid

She’s not even in a risk category for Covid.

Utter insanity.

They advise against it

"If you live in the affected local areas, you must not meet or host people you do not live with in private homes or gardens unless they are in your support bubble. In addition to these restrictions, we advise that you should not:

  • socialise with people you do not live with, unless they’re in your support bubble, in any public venue. This applies to inside and outside of the affected areas. Examples of public venues include pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, places of worship, community centres, leisure and entertainment venues, or visitor attractions
Ok cool

So more than one set of people in a pub break that then? If they socialise with each other? If they are not in the same bubble?

I'm talking hypothetical here

Because socialising can still happen 2 metres apart with a facemask

You can see where I am going with this.

That's irrelevant to what we're discussing.

Hospital treatment in the general sense has decreased massively in favour of telephone appointments now.

Combined with extremely long waiting lists for patients because services have been closed down for months on end. Pray you don't have an issue with your spine for example, could be waiting a year now for an appointment to get treatment.

My GP is impossible to see face to face.
His reception staff are like peak 80’s AC Milan at the best of times to get through, but now it’s impossible.
The GP failure is what will cause loads of cases of other medical issues.
How many women and men with ‘lumps’ where they shouldn’t be have not been seen at the first point of contact ?

Yeah our office gets it loads at the minute , people.ringing up for even assessments that still have hundreds before them.

The worst thing is there isn't a solution to the problem. Can't open services back up anywhere near normal given it's a hospital. It won't just be our trust but all trusts around the country are going to take a year or more to even get back on track for treatment.

All of this locking down and restrictions will absolutely have a massive effect on public health over the next 12 months. Serious issues have been covered to some extent over the last 6 months and have carried on but for the rest , it will be nigh on impossible for the next 6 months to even get near a consultant depending on the issue.

In England 6 people from multiple households can meet inside, they cannot mingle with another 6.
