Mate I can count on one hand how many times I’ve had the flu since my teens! I’m 44 now I don’t need it or want it

Im in my late 20's and dont think I've ever had the flu or if I've had It I've thought it was a cold!

Never been ill enough to be bed bound have always just cracked on with work etc. My sister and brother are both the complete opposite however and always catch colds/bugs etc.

I have never had a flu jab. Never been offered or been suggested I should get one, nor in the age bracket that get the freebie.

So its just never been on my radar to get one.

I don’t want to inject stuff or put chemicals into my body, I don’t take medication if I have a sore throat or head colds.
Apart from once when I had no choice

Yes, I would probably have to because of my job or company requested it but I wouldn’t be requesting one.

Thats exactly what it is. As you must know, a few years ago free flu jabs were rolled out to the elderly. Or at least they were written to suggesting they get one.

So to me, as a bloke, its the same engagement as being asked to get a breast screening or a smear test.

Havnt got an anti vax thing, just no idea if I need one. But my naturally cynical eye brows rise when I hear Boots advertising their jabs on radio ads......y'know.

I work in health commissioning and assurance
