The unfolding of events has been quite predictable really.
Restrictions were relaxed too broadly and too quickly in the early summer, and once that occurred, it's very difficult to row back from both an economic and social viewpoint.
My own view is that a more limited but sustainable level of activity would have been the best way to go - reduced activity that could be maintained on a continuous level would be better than this constant yo-yo of restrict and relax, over the last few weeks, and the months to come.
That would after all, been a far more accurate description of "controlling" the virus.
There is a level of dismay and even incredulity now that covid levels are starting to soar again - people have been badly led and misled.
