Excess deaths figures are useful but flawed anyway. Making conclusions on the basis of indirect inference from related data is very much second best compared to examining the core counts, principally taken from death certificates. If you're castigating the government for acting too late then you've presumably got to be referencing in relation to other countries, to, for example, the German figure of 20,000 deaths, hence my use of the 41,000 figure. And of course, the fact that the German count is more of a count of the true cause of death rather than our own which is a count of deaths 'with' the virus, would suggest that the UK figure is something of an overstatement if seeking to compare like with like.Excess deaths well over 60,000. Dont be quoting figures that have ben massaged down by a government desperate to cover it's criminal acts.
Covid deaths are currently running at less than 15% of flu deaths (and we're not into the flu season yet) with little sign of significant upturn. We live normal lives in the face of flu; we need the same in the continuation of Covid.
Then don't do the classic davek 101 tactic of moving the goalposts and, worse than that, don't insult me with shight like that last line. You cant be seriously suggesting that Johnson's mishandling of the crisis in March when he refused to upset big business by closing the economy down would have been replicated by a LP in power under Corbyn who were critical of his delays?
Please dont offer any support via the backdoor for murders like Johnson, Gove, Hancock etc etc.

Because only the selfish young have a problem with our current strategy...
If one person refuses to get a vaccine (young and healthy) another person gets vaccinated (old and unhealthy), can the former make the latter sick? If not, I don't see a decision to make it compulsory, IMHO.
thanksYes. The vaccine isn't 100% effective although it generally will lessen the severity of flu symptoms.
Additionally their are people, including neonates/infants, that can't have the vaccine.
Just in, Czech Minister of Health resigned after the cases rocketed up.

This is either going to save our lives or it is the worst piece of scaremongering. I love the way they title it If doubling occurred..
That Kaveh fella isn't a scientist, he's a Tory bot.I‘d be interested to see him or Gupta in a debate with Whitty or Valance.
Follow the science now means “agree with the scientist whose statements back up your own point of view rather than challenge your beliefs”. Some open, reasoned debate amongst them would be good.
