Don't understand people who go to hospital, just to realise they have it and then go into isolation back home cuz it is minor. Like what does that succeed? If you feel unwell, just rest up anyway, in any case. otherwise even if you don't have it, on your way to hospital or within the hospital/vacinity you may get it! What does positive or negative report will do exactly for you? Mad.

I hate to think what’s going to happen once colds and the flu kick in.

People seem to be interpreting every little sniffle as the virus.

So far this week two of my eldest lads parents have kept them off school, got the kids tested for what turned out to be nothing more than snotty noses. They’re rationale being “ better safe than sorry “, without thinking of the unnecessary strain this is putting on an already stretched service.

People seem to have become that scared and paranoid, that common sense has been lobbed out of the window.

RE the covid vaccine providing everyone who wants it gets it then surely it doesn't matter if someone who doesn't gets covid as I imagine those who have been vaccinated would be protected anyway?

Im not anti vax by any means but I can see why some are worried considering how fast it is been produced.

I've never had a flu jab but dont think I've ever had the flu (or if I've had it must have only had it mild) but then again I barely get ill apart from the odd cold that lasts 2-3 days.

There is no evidence that vaccines are harmful. There is plenty of evidence that the conspiracy theories suggesting they are are nonsense. It really is that simple.

Hard to apply common sense when the symptoms for flu are so similar to the symptoms for COVID. If people had broken their leg and decided to get tested...

The RNA vaccine is a new tech, which has never been used before on people, so I can understand if people are wary about taking it.

All the other vaccines are based on methods we know work and are safe though.

If one person refuses to get a vaccine (young and healthy) another person gets vaccinated (old and unhealthy), can the former make the latter sick? If not, I don't see a decision to make it compulsory, IMHO.

And so it begins again here in Madrid... Even though the centre isn´t included in the new restrictions there´s been a big increase in police presence over the weekend. I can´t see these changes in the south of the city stemming the tide, it´ll apply to all of us soon.

Obviously they will do everything they can to keep the economy open but the way the numbers are increasing mean at some point the health system will be overwhelmed and they´ll have to act.
