If one person refuses to get a vaccine (young and healthy) another person gets vaccinated (old and unhealthy), can the former make the latter sick? If not, I don't see a decision to make it compulsory, IMHO.

no, but they can make the people who can't take the vaccine for genuine reasons sick

FWIW I think taking vaccines has to be voluntary - no government should ever be allowed to compel any medical treatment except after a proper court process that takes into account the circumstances of that case - but if you knowingly refuse to get a vaccine with no genuine reason and then go on to harm others then you should absolutely be held liable for that.

Vaccines don't always generate the immune response in older people to protect them from a virus, so it depends on the efficacy of the vaccine.

Another example of Tory government / politicians in general of not knowing the country they are running.

Real Britain can have a community spirit. The Tories want us to destroy that.

No, people who are too selfish to follow advice put in place to protect others are the ones destroying community spirit.

The government is trying to protect as many people as it can while trying to keep the economy going

They're doing a poor job but their intentions are right.

It's people like you who are selfish and are deliberately obtuse in regards to government advice, not because it's hard to understand, but just because it's an excuse to do what you want.

There is no evidence that vaccines are harmful. There is plenty of evidence that the conspiracy theories suggesting they are are nonsense. It really is that simple.

I don't think he's talking about vaccines in general, he's talking about the Covid vaccine which has been developed at an unprecedented speed in comparison to every other vaccine in history.

It's a fair question to ask if any corners have been cut in the rush to get it into production due to pressure from governments.

If something normally takes a decade to get right and ensure its safety, IMO it's perfectly fine to wonder if one that's been created in a matter of months meets the same standards.

So present actual evidence that it's unsafe. Present actual evidence that shortcuts have been made in the testing process.

Why am I selfish?

What possible reason have you got that I specifically am selfish? For what exactly?

of course this time last year dobbing in your neighbours just because they were having screaming rows was absolute fascism

There is a difference between domestic violence and kick offs , with grassing someone up for having their sister round.
Is ignoring public health advice in a pandemic 'community spirited'?

The people who help you out , that you have spent possibly years even knowing and we are meant to grass them up?

Can really tell the difference between working class and middle class here. You all probably aren't arsed with any of your neighbors so wouldn't think twice about grassing them up .

Would you grass your family up? Friends? Same thing.

Flip it round then. If you see people you hold dear behaving in an irresponsible way, would you have a word with them or would you brush it under the carpet?

You don't have to grass them up if they follow the rules.

Not sure what you don't understand here tbh.

I haven't said it's unsafe. I said it's reasonable to ask questions seeing as it is being produced at a rate never seen before in medicine.

I believe it will be safe but I think that it's reasonable for people to have questions. I imagine there will be adequate answers to those questions however.
