I took the piss out of you because you were posting nonsense about the pubs causing a Tsunami.

Your shtick of ignoring facts and actual posts and just choosing to make things up is very tedious.

You've 'laffed' and snided your way throiugh the summer on this thread denigrating anyone exercising caution.

You cant hold your hand up to that, and it speaks to your character.

you understand that businesses aren’t like electrical goods they are made up of people , most of which aren’t blood sucking murdering profiteers . Whether those people are the business owners putting their heart, soul and often homes into it or the staff that are part of it . If these myriad of business go to the wall people will suffer and for a socialist to glibly dismiss the inevitable struggles of people affected by that fries my brain but I’m obviously just relieved you haven’t suggested shooting them and charging the families for the bullets .
That's a bit OOT. Never called business owners murderers...certainly not ones running small enterprises. What I do say though - and it is ENTIRELY consistent with being a socialist - is that no business activity is worth a human life.

To argue that the hospitality sector dont create the conditions whereby this virus can kill is a perverse position.

People need that paper dave, sorry to say, you cant just shut places.

I was with you at the start, but this thing ain't going away, you cant just shut things down and tell people they arent getting paid this week.

Even on 80% wages many people will suffer.

We tried and we failed.

You have to be sensible. Health trumps wealth. There's no pockets on a shroud.

Wont be any health without any wealth though

mental health and sucide be Going to never seen before levels
We can do without someone getting served ale and a Greggs pastie or an overpriced plate of food in a restaurant. I dare say the economy can survive.

We're talking about VERY SPECIFIC employment here: indoors and people staying there for hours on end...in a pandemic when the infection rate is going to go through the 'kin roof.

Does it really have to be spelt out to anyoine that pubs and restaurants cant be allowed to carry on doing what they've been doing?

You dont live in the real world mate

We tried that Dave.

It didn't work, we cant afford to do it again.

They can bale out banks for years to the tune of a trillion quid.

And Im not talking about all the economy shutting down. I;m talking about:

  • pubs
  • bars
  • cafes
  • restaurants
  • salons
  • gyms
I dont thinnk we can afford to see those places open.

Hours on end in confined spaces in a second wave?

Not going to happen. Not one bit of it.

And how long do you want to make millions of people not have a job for?

Cos this thing ain't going away soon.
