They can, but only under a very narrow set of circumstances and having a shin dig for over 6 people isn`t one of them lol
Exactly mate that’s the point I’m making , certain criteria have to be fulfilled and I’m pretty sure this won’t do it .

you understand that businesses aren’t like electrical goods they are made up of people , most of which aren’t blood sucking murdering profiteers . Whether those people are the business owners putting their heart, soul and often homes into it or the staff that are part of it . If these myriad of business go to the wall people will suffer and for a socialist to glibly dismiss the inevitable struggles of people affected by that fries my brain but I’m obviously just relieved you haven’t suggested shooting them and charging the families for the bullets .

Imagine them in con sq lolThey haven`t got the manpower to do a lot about it anyway, hence the deployment of Covid Marshals in City Centres ( if they ever happen )
Imagine them in con sq lol
If there covid marshallsOne night and they’d be handing their badges in, if they were still in one piece !
To deal with the second wave you poured scorn on ever arriving.
Yes, quite.
Think it will likely go to pot in a couple of months when it’s no longer warm enough to spend extended periods of time sat outdoors.
2600ish cases today, at the moment we don't know if this could rise by a thousand or two tomorrow or decrease by a thousand. I'm hoping things start to peter out again and the good thing for now is the death rate is still low but it could jump over the next month or two.

Other fans of othger clubs have suffered that loss. That's the alternative if no one steps in; that's my point - they can step in.The Premier League have collectively lost around £300 million as a result of playing behind closed doors. Would you be happy for your favourite football team to go bust?
Most people in those industries get poor pay; the REAL argument for keeping them open is the owner's one. They want them open even when it's unsafe in order to continue trading and profit. That decision has to be taken out of their hands.Yes and people lose their jobs, there is a big knock on effect to the local areas where these folk live, and generally people suffer.
Not to mention the emotional side of people losing a business they had potentially built from nothing and put 30 or 40 years of hard work into. Most businesses in this country are ran by ordinary everyday people who had the bravery and guts to go for it and try to make a better life for themselves.
If we let businesses go under then a lot of them won't come back. You can't just shrug your shoulders and say so what.
That, of course, is very not representaive of your posting on a second wave.Derp.
