you understand that businesses aren’t like electrical goods they are made up of people , most of which aren’t blood sucking murdering profiteers . Whether those people are the business owners putting their heart, soul and often homes into it or the staff that are part of it . If these myriad of business go to the wall people will suffer and for a socialist to glibly dismiss the inevitable struggles of people affected by that fries my brain but I’m obviously just relieved you haven’t suggested shooting them and charging the families for the bullets .

Put the word " National " in front of " Socialist " and you`re getting there.

2600ish cases today, at the moment we don't know if this could rise by a thousand or two tomorrow or decrease by a thousand. I'm hoping things start to peter out again and the good thing for now is the death rate is still low but it could jump over the next month or two.

lower than last Monday... but but but the news keeps saying the virus is spreading 'exponentially?

With the utter farce in testing sadly the death rate is what we should be keeping our eye on.

Currently the numbers are staying low, so lets hope we can nip this in the bud.

The Premier League have collectively lost around £300 million as a result of playing behind closed doors. Would you be happy for your favourite football team to go bust?
Other fans of othger clubs have suffered that loss. That's the alternative if no one steps in; that's my point - they can step in.

Yes and people lose their jobs, there is a big knock on effect to the local areas where these folk live, and generally people suffer.

Not to mention the emotional side of people losing a business they had potentially built from nothing and put 30 or 40 years of hard work into. Most businesses in this country are ran by ordinary everyday people who had the bravery and guts to go for it and try to make a better life for themselves.

If we let businesses go under then a lot of them won't come back. You can't just shrug your shoulders and say so what.
Most people in those industries get poor pay; the REAL argument for keeping them open is the owner's one. They want them open even when it's unsafe in order to continue trading and profit. That decision has to be taken out of their hands.

That, of course, is very not representaive of your posting on a second wave.

You dismissed concerns expreesed buy others and joked about the 'no-show' of the second wave in the summer when restrictions were lifted.

Dont take the piss, we all know what your attitude was.

You seem to dislike small businesses, built up over decades, making a living.

If said living can be made safely, or at least as safely as possible, other then not liking folk making money, whats the problem?

Like, if Universities and Schools can open safely, would you be for that?
