Telegraph are reporting that indoor gyms and swimming pools to be closed from next Thursday in England for the forseeable future

with this lot in charge absolutely - it’s announcing something just so they can say they’ve done it, rather than actually doing something

it’s like those Covid marshals announced by the chief liar yesterday, who it now turns out will only exist if councils fund them from their own resources (no extra money is coming from central government)

All the covid19 incubators will soon be shut: bars, pubs, restaurants, gyms.

May as well just all head to Switzerland for the big sleep

I think you'll find the 'Covid Incubators' as you so eloquently call them are the back gardens of households, mixing freely without a care in the world as they annoy the rest of their neighbours

I’ve half been expecting the gyms to be honest , prices for exercise equipment just started to go up again so there might be something in it .

I appreciate enjoying a bit of social interaction and going to the gym makes me a little better than a mass murderer to
Some but I’ll certainly miss them if they shut . I feel significantly better since they’ve reopened and my injury recovery , despite being no way to get any real help for it , has come on leaps and bounds in the time since the doors opened .

Same here mate thats alls i need to stay open to keep me postive about things, what are we literally going to do when its dark at 4pm and nothing is open of a night?

surely they cant do that again i dread to think on the amount of sucides and mental health problems, its one thing doing it in summer its another doing it in winter

Entering a bar or a gym and sanitising whilst social distancing , using the cleaning products in the gyms to cleanse all the equipment after use , liberally scattering sanitisers around the place and ensuring everyone’s details are collected and collated is All completely dismissed by some .

It isn't that difficult: I'm all for ordinary people protecting themselves and not being conned in a pandemic into filling the pockets of pub and restaurant owners, or having to deal with the ill-disciplined behaviour of a load of sociopaths out on the piss.

Your mate's making all the right decisions; it's probably him who should be posting on the forum about your reckless behaviour, tbf.

I’ve said before I’ve got PTSD and i know Several close friends who do as well . Those that cope the best do so , in my experience , with exercise and established routine . I’m obviously not saying the country has to put them or me first but despite what others think it does have unseen implications beyond stopping juiceheads get massive .

I’ve all but given up with my mate who hasn’t left the house now for over 6 mths.

He’s not in any of the at risk groups at all and this latest stuff has just driven him even further into his bunker.

He hasn’t been in a shop, hasn’t had a takeaway and won’t let anyone into his house, inc kids to play with his son.

He’s given up his place on 2 lads weekends away and I’m now booking stuff for next year without him.

All because of the media and the way it’s portraying this.

I genuinely don’t think he’ll leave the house until there’s a vaccine.

Mate of mine says he's not coming out until there's a vaccine but I actually think maybe he's just avoiding me.

i think I’m right in saying , he’s said his mate hasn’t left the house in what 7 months ? You’re suggesting that’s a good thing ? How does a society function in these circumstances but more importantly the mental and physical damage he’s almost certainly doing to himself by locking himself in and withdrawing from human contact is going to be significant .
