Fake news.

Fake news.

I did however laugh at you and poke fun at you for fear-mongering about a second wave 'tsunami' crashing into us because of pubs re-opening, which never happened. Not sure why I need to apologise for that.

I have never made fun of somebody simply for being cautious about restrictions being loosened, and I have never said a second wave would not happen. Here is a post I made in July on the subject:

You're just a bare-faced liar.

People need to get a grip...no easy thing to do I grant you given the British 24 hour media circus trying to outdo themselves with grim forecasts.

Roughly over the same period (October 2019 to the present) there has been 2,800 deaths due to coronavirus; compared to between 15,000 to 30,000 caused by the common flu. Over half a million annually die from the flu globally.

Dont let these turds spook you.

Not forgetting this gem, which was the beginning of the end for his credibility in this thread.

Can this get anymore confusing. So we can go to work with as many people as the company wants but can’t be with more than 6 people socially?

It's not just about the numbers.

People need to work, and they need to keep hospitality in business. Socialising in private dwellings spreads the virus more readily.

If you're in an office you don't sit side by side on a sofa or hug.

Hospital figures - 17 deaths were announced today, up 8 on yesterday and up 10 on last Wednesday. 12 were in English hospitals, up 4 on yesterday and up 5 on last week with 10 occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average rises to 10.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 8 deaths were announced today, 24 down on yesterday and 2 down on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average falls slightly to 11.43

No figures have been announced for the 60 day and Legacy/No cut off as yet

Don't see the problem with outdoor events. Far less dangerous going to football than inside a restaurant or cinema etc

How can they keep saying outdoor is far less dangerous but then say only 6 can meet outdoors?
The danger is the inability to be to enforce social distancing in the crowded communal areas , corridors, bars , toilets gangways etc
I would imagine it would be difficult to enforce a strictly one way system in Goodison , it remains to be seen if this can be achieved .

No one enforces any of these rules anyway it dosent actually matter what they say

even peak virus you would see gangs of More than 6 in parks and houses etc, loads dont wear masks, havent heard of any fines been given?

just trying to save face,be suprised if its actually even illegal to not follow advice they just want you to think it is

most people understand we need to just go about life best we can, there will be some people catching it obviously but its nothing to be too worried about atm for sure

They are the least likely to need hospital treatment though. The second least likely to get sick after the youngest

If we keep them away from the vunerable then it should be an issue right?

I agree, but in all honesty and looking at the numbers, rate of testing, hospitalisations and deaths, as a vulnerable person I’m more relaxed about it all than I was.....

I genuinely think we are doing well and the case rises was inevitable with more at work and schools reopened.

Hospitalisations and deaths remain thankfully low. I don't really get why more restrictions are being brought back and I don't think there's any logic too it. The general perception is that it's disproportionate to the position we find ourselves now.

Personally I’d rather enforce some more restrictions now as the weather cools in an attempt to suppress the virus ahead of the inevitable winter uptick. It’s the best chance of having a relatively normal Christmas period.

Not my thoughts but one of my staff who is 65 and a heavy smoker. That we should just protect the vunerable rather than just lock down the country.

Interesting idea given they would be part of that group but came to work this whole time anyway.
