Haven’t been to a shop since March, much less a pub, but this, from my local on Parkgate front is sorely testing me.

Big Wave (especially on tap) is one of mankind’s crowning accomplishments
The strap-line for that Big Wave ale: "One life, right?".

Indeed. So maybe they shouldn't be tempting people into their covid19 incubator to try it.

I posted yesterday that the number of deaths dont stack up with the number of reported infections.

It definitely seems like the virus is starting to lose its potency - not saying it still isnt deadly but hopefully it keeps the deaths low into the winter.
Historically that's what happened to viruses they quite quickly become less deadly, swine flu still goes around and there's nothing about it after panic in 2009. Hopefully this dose will do the same, people will stop taking it so seriously if we constantly hear of high cases but low death rate.

Aye its in the virus interests to be less deadly in order for itself to survive

Don't be silly, they're all the same aren't they and can be lobbed into one pot?

It's totally fine to ignore Coptic Christians, Armenian Christians, Maronites, Buddhistsm Sikhs and Hinduhs isn't it? All Muslims are the same too, aren't they?

That's not to say that ethnicities or religious groups can't be playing a part in spikes, but people have got to be very careful to make baseless assumptions.
An interesting fact. There are more practising Christians in India than the whole population of the UK.

Hospital figures - 7 is the announced total, 2 up on yesterday and one up on last Saturday. 6 were in English hospitals, one up on yesterday and 2 up on last week with 4 occurring in the past 10 days

All settings - for the 28 day cut off the announced total is 18, up 16 on yesterday and up 15 on last Saturday causing the 7 day rolling average to rise to 8.86

For the 60 day cut off the announced total is 31, up 18 on yesterday and up 9 on last Saturday, that 7 day rolling average rises to 17.14

For the legacy, the announced total is 82, down 10 on yesterday but up 41 on last Saturday, causing that 7 day rolling average to rise to 57.29

Worth noting that PHE have added 11 backdated deaths from April and May which has caused a higher total in all 3 areas, the legacy being the most concerning as it has doubled in a week

The earlier hospital figure sees that average rise slightly to 6.43

Big Wave (especially on tap) is one of mankind’s crowning accomplishments
I've been to the Kona brewery. Cool place. They do some fine beers. Occasionally I buy the mix pack they sell here. The big wave is my favorite of their stuff though.

I see the Chinese have had a vaccine being administered to key workers since the end of last month. That, added to the Russian vaccine news and the possible mutation of the virus to something more infectious but less deadly are welcome developments.

Lets see. If either have cracked it, (which would be kinda nice from China), sound. But forgive me for being a tad sceptical.
