You’re blaming a race of people for certain areas going into lockdown.

If you want people to look at the issue maybe articulate yourself better instead of racist dog-whistling.

I have no doubt there’s probably an issue within certain communities, not just the Muslim community, but what you’re doing here is akin to Hitler bouncing round after the financial crash going, ‘have you noticed the Jews still have money, mad that la’.
The local councillors around Blackburn have specifically named the Asian community as the main problem.

Friends in Australia have pointed me towards news there that certain government bods have mentioned mandatory vaccinations with possible job losses if you don't and also restrictions on shopping and government benefits etc.. not a good road to be taking. Haven't they only had 300 odd deaths there? I'm sure I read in the 6 months they've had 300 Corona deaths and 65000 deaths from other illnesses. Hence the argument against all the heavy lock down restrictions being imposed.

The determination of posters to avoid being labelled as racist or Islamaphobic is perhaps understandable, and isn't as bad as the determination of other posters to blame a race or religion.

But the truth is that COVID is currently most prevalent in the Asian community, and, most obviously, those of Pakistani heritage.

Either that, or Public Health England are bad, bad racists or Islamaphobes.

There'll be lots of reasons for that, but sticking your head in the sand and trying to ignore the issue would be plain old-fashioned stupid

I don’t think anyone in here denies that BAME communities are harder hit than others with COVID but that doesn’t automatically mean they should be labelled the sole reason an area is locked down. Surely you can see that?

Interesting that... Very few white people considering that 'white' is 80 odd% of the UK population?

I didn't see they were, why can't you just deal in facts ?

The Asian communities in the majority of the locked down areas aren't the sole reason for the lockdowns, but the data shows they're making a contribution to infections far in excess of their share of the local population.

So why do you think it’s fine people in here say it is then?
