Well I mean I wouldn't enjoy a holiday myself with social distancing, all the rules in restaurants/bars etc. so I wouldn't go.

I just spent two weeks away and once you get used to it, it’s not a problem.

I'm in France and would have been going to Czech to see family a week tomorrow. Now if you can tell me the R number in our little corner of rural France versus other parts of the country, that would perhaps be a start.

It's a few weeks old, but the bit we're in is the 45, but we're being treated the same as the other regions, which is logical, coz we have the best track and trace system in der world.

A friend of mine drove back from Spain via France and obviously said he'd been on holiday in France. He has a house here so is over multiple times a year... so much for biometric passports.

What they've actually done is come into line with the other countries in the UK who have always worked on this basis.

I haven't heard you calling the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish governments death cults, even though they've been recording deaths along these guidelines from the outset.

Having said that, whilst I can understand the wish to get all the UK countries recording deaths on the same basis, I really think the right thing to do would have been to try and persuade the other nations to come into line with England. By limiting the covid positive tests to 28 days before death, they are at risk of missing a lot of deaths where covid has had a serious debilitating effect on people. Plus they are playing right into the hands if people like you who are convinced they are covering up the real number of deaths. Another PR nightmare by this blundering government.
