If people continue with their usual buying habits plus perhaps a few extra non-perishable good each time, it would be much easier.

Exactly. There isnt, and most likely wont be, a distribution issue to the shops. But if selfish idiots (with the income available to do so), continue to heap their trollies, all they are doing is making it harder for folk of a limited income to buy what they need that day.

I bought one extra carton of milk for Mrs R today. One. Some tosser had 12 in his trolly.

I would absolutely love my old NBC suit right now, nonchalantly shaking hands in your gloves and respirator.

Id have took loads of kit but it was just too much to carry, just took all the gortex
gear.
Oh well, during the forthcoming apocalypse you will be free to roam the dystopian wastelands without fear because you will be well prepared for a spot of drizzle.

Unless it’s UHT or he’s going to freeze it, well there’s really is no need to buy anywhere near that much milk. It’s the same with most other essentials.

I know a mate who works as a physio in a small hospital said someone turned up a few weeks ago claiming they had it and was taken to Arrow park by Ambulance. Following that turning up with symptoms was promptly discouraged by a sign essentially telling people to go home. May have now changed with the testing pods.
Probably not as there is global shortage... And hence the NHS triage process, if there is a shortage of medical support in any given condition there will always be triage and then another as another...

Sadly the way the media are carrying on give it a week or so and people will get "Brexit Syndrome" in which they simply wont give a toss anymore.

They really need to stop bombarding people with this thing especially considering they will start lockdowns soon.

I don't have any opinion on the actual policies from the government because I know nothing about medicine.

But I do believe they could give more information to us regarding future plans. It's all well and good saying things are being considered or things will be implemented at the right time.

But people need to plan for things like school closures and arranging childcare. We need to know what plans to put in place to ensure the safety of our elderly relatives. The lack of clear information is the main issue and transparency will help with the panic we see from some people.

Quite. There is not a food shortage. Tomorrow morning supermarkets will be largely restocked. Its what they do every day of the year.

But if single mother Annie, after finishing her shift at the garage, pops to the shops to get some cornflakes and milk for her kids breakfast, she cant. Boils my blood.

Does anyone know how the food situation in Italy is? Are people still able to go to the shops? Are supplies being provided?

It’s inherently selfish and also completely unnecessary.

What happens when all the panic and hysteria is over ?

These items people are hoarding are obviously in major demand. You want that say about supply and demand.

I guess the prices are going to go up.

Then we'll have more panic and hysteria.

Some of the scientists and medical profession also have an ulterior motive in hyping this up, as it'll likely lead to more funding etc.

Since I've been alove, this is like the seventh or eigth end of the world scenario I've survived. Not sure how many more I got in me.
