Italy is at 7% mortality rate and due to peak in July isn’t it? Look I’m not running around saying sorry to everybody I ever wronged and doing out a will. But it’s cause for concern.

Nobody really knows what the true mortality rate is mate, all we do know is that, unless you test everyone, you'll miss a heck of a lot of people who are infected but don't meet some arbitrary level at which to test at.

South Korea has done the most testing, and they have a mortality rate of less than 1%

Go to your little South Asian shop, buy a couple big sacks of jasmine rice.

Obviously tins keep well.
Get lots of dried beans and lentils.
Salt fish
Biltong
Get lots of spices and bottlea fish sauce
Dried chillis
Check how hard the ground is, you can bury hardy root veg and keep them fresh and away from thieves
While your eating your rice you can begin your veg patch - grow potatoes in an upright sack

As far as I'm aware you only get tested if you can prove you have had contact with a positive case. Not sure if you present at a hospital with symptoms associated with COVID-19.
People are being tested in their houses. I read story of a man being visited by a local nurse who turned up with a hazmat suit on. Like you said I think you need to tick a lot of boxes to be tested.

All I can guess is that nobody could be bothered finding other methods of wiping it clean...

Pasta I kind of get. Last for ages and is versatile. I have seen people buying all the legs of lamb etc. Oh no the world is ending, lets have a roast!

Probably didnt' even get any mint sauce either. Idiots.
As well, it’s not expected to peak for a fair few weeks, so how many people will actually use this stuff in the meantime as they’ve already spent-x amount?

I suspect a lot. If people continue with their usual buying habits plus perhaps a few extra non-perishable good each time, it would be much easier.

I would absolutely love my old NBC suit right now, nonchalantly shaking hands in your gloves and respirator.

Id have took loads of kit but it was just too much to carry, just took all the gortex
gear.

I know a mate who works as a physio in a small hospital said someone turned up a few weeks ago claiming they had it and was taken to Arrow park by Ambulance. Following that turning up with symptoms was promptly discouraged by a sign essentially telling people to go home. May have now changed with the testing pods.
