I agree, but just to be clear you are not saying that I said anything like that.. right? Again just to be clear I never said "only" and never mentioned "fat".
Yeah, I think we're all clear on what you didn't say. Not sure anyone has a clue about what point you're trying to make. You repeated a lot of self evident facts in response to imagined sleight but never actually came to a conclusion. What is your point?

Kind of comforting to see there are stupid people all around the world and not just here and the USA.

Just shows the danger of the internet, they think they've entered a world of free thinking and not what they really are which is conspiracy theorists.
Interesting to see this copy cat behaviour in Germany.
After UK, I think that Germany is the next biggest hanger on to US coat tails, that includes lapping up crazy ideas.
American cultural imperialism very evident.

Are there any masks available that protect the wearer from disease? (like medical grade masks ect), if there are they should be made available to the elderly/vulnerable. Could be a much better solution and would stop a lot of bickering cos I Gotta be honest with you, if i was you I wouldn't rely on me to not act irresponsibly and if I was elderly /vulnerable I would be much more comfortable having my life in my own hands rather than relying on others.

I think with it potentially being airborne and people needing to breathe I don't think theres any mask that can totally protect people sadly.

It seems like any filters only work 1 way, if that makes sense.

How long does phase 3 have to last for though?

Surely long term effects could start months even years after vaccination - whats the cut off point thats deemed acceptable?

For me the economy simply couldn't take another lockdown - its either ride it out from this point or a shortened phase 3 and take the risk as it were

For phase 3 trials the point is to give it to thousands of people with good representation of the general public. There will be a sent predetermined number of people. For the vaccine being developed in the US the number is 30K....30K people willing to be exposed to the virus.

Longer term (years) are never truly known for any medications until they are in “phase 4“ (post-marketing).

The virus can't pass through 'surgical masks', which would offer the best protection.

Avoid P2.5 masks as they are designed to protect against pollution but the virus can pass through the fabric as the holes in the fabric aren't small enough to stop it.

In simplest terms my point is that when someone says it's mainly older people with underlying conditions that are effected" others don't need to immediately jump in saying things like "ageist" "you don't think old lives matter" "you'd be happy to see old people die".. it pisses me off that the reaction to comments is always to the extreme, I say older people are more effected therefor the conclusion is that I hate old people and want to see them dead.

Can you point me to any poster who has said it doesn't mainly affect old people and people with underlying conditions?

And that's where the only common sense lies so hold that thought: the only way life can go on and people can stay relatively 'safe' is for the old and in danger to stay at home and isolate and the rest of us get on with things. Should've been like that from day 1.
