If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
I was asked after my initial comment, "I suppose you would like to see mandatory euthanasia for over 75s" so I responded with no not mandatory but euthanasia should not be illegal for those who are terminal.. as for political correctness when someone says something unpopular but true about elderly people (in this case) and others then immediately chiming in with shouts of "ageist" "you don't think old lives matter" or "you are happy to see elderly die" those people are part of the PC brigade immediately jumping to the far extreme nothing I said in any way was meant in the way it's been taken up and criticised. Initially my comment was in defense of someone who had posted an article about Covid19 and the elderly someone replied to that post with the "you don't think old lives matter" shout. When someone says it's mainly old people with underlying conditions that are dying from this, it should not instantly be taken as that person hates old people and has no issues with old people dying.Right, but what are you saying? So far, for certain, we have:
Now what? What were you saying with this collection of facts? Where do the PC brigade and euthanasia come into it?
- The virus affects old people more: We all know that.
- Modern medicine allows people to live longer. Agreed
- The average age of people who have died from Covid is 84. Haven't verified that, but I'll take your word for it.
