Just been watching the news in Germany. Seems it's mostly far right AfD supporters who are moaning about the restrictions.
What an utter waste of time.So many people do this.
My Mrs even does, certain supermarkets get certain exclusives.
Asda get the Diet Coke with Lime for example, and she loves that with a Bacardi.
And what about compulsory euthanasia at 75?. Think how much money that would save the state. I'm sure that must have been in your thoughts. The cold hard reality is that the vast majority of those dying are people who have been kept alive using modern medicine. If we want a health care system that keeps people alive into their late 80s, 90s and beyond then you have to expect that mother nature will be working on ways to thin the herd.
I know it will be hard to hear but most of those dying are people who's time was naturally up a long time ago. In Ireland the life expectancy is 82 years the average age of death from Covid19 is 84..
It really annoys me when people say things like, "you are saying old people's lives don't matter" because you are failing to look at it from any sort of sane reality, every disease has more of an effect on older people, their bodies are weaker and immune system are weaker, that's just reality.. so saying people are ageist or that they don't believe that old lives don't matter because they comment on how that disease has more of an effect on older people us just pandering to the hypocrisy of the PC brigade. I know my opinion won't be popular here but o don't care, the sad fact is that if we weren't keeping people artificially alive with drugs and modern equipment then this disease wouldn't even have gotten 5 minutes of news time.
This stuff is really frightening. Is there any hope for humanity?
Not compulsory euthanasia but certainly euthanasia shouldn't be illegal for terminal patients. I've been called our and abused here for my comment, so I'm assuming that all those calling me out are happy to see people suffer as long as they don't die.. let me tell you something there's worse things than death, too many people think death is the worst thing that can happen a person, it's the worst thing that can happen the family of that person, I do think it's greed that has people feeling that, "I don't want Jimmy to die I'll be very sad leave him there screaming in bed". If you are going to take issue with someone saying its mainly old and weak with multiple underlying conditions then you'll have to hold your hand up and say I'm happy if they don't die regardless of their suffering, if that's your opinion it says alot about you.And what about compulsory euthanasia at 75?. How your mind has made the jump from not being willing to protect the elderly and weak to being a champion of humanity is really quite remarkableNot compulsory euthanasia but certainly euthanasia shouldn't be illegal for terminal patients. I’m 44 and I should have died in 2008.Not compulsory euthanasia but certainly euthanasia shouldn't be illegal for terminal patients. What did I say to have you form the opinion that I am not willing to protect the elderly.. everything I said in my comment was fact quote me any part of my comment that's not fact or any part of my comment that I even remotely came close to saying I'm not willing to protect the elderly then I'll withdraw my comment..How your mind has made the jump from not being willing to protect the elderly and weak to being a champion of humanity is really quite remarkable
I never criticised modern medicine, I simply said if we want a health care system that allows people to live into their late 80s 90s and beyond (which we do want).I’m 44 and I should have died in 2008.
That modern medicine eh..
I take lifelong medication, to as you put it, ‘to stop me lying in pain in bed’ everyday.I never criticised modern medicine, I simply said if we want a health care system that allows people to live into their late 80s 90s and beyond (which we do want).
No, it's because the most vulnerable have already been carried away earlier in this pandemic. Fewer infected are dying.Has the death rate dropped because of less infected or is the virus starting to weaken/mutate into a less deadlier strain?
Maybe I have been blunt with my comments, I just don't understand how people criticise others who point out the facts and accuse people of being ageist or not caring about elderly.I take lifelong medication, to as you put it, ‘to stop me lying in pain in bed’ everyday.
I do actually get some of the points you are trying to make, even if I don’t agree with them, but I don’t think you are making them very well if I may say so, a bit too black and white. That’s if that phrase is still allowed ffs.
