Ha ha, bloody hell, 'disgusting', I jokingly called you a definite non-racist. I'm sorry it upset you so.
I never said speculating is racist. I did say it might expose inbuilt prejudices when you have no proof but you are 'speculating' that Asian people might have caused more of the spike. You can keep saying you shouldn't blame the Asian population but you are doing nothing but adding to any fire of bigotry that suggests this is somehow the fault of the Asian population, or the working class population, or anybody but a government that has handled it appallingly. The fact you refuse to look at your own language or 'speculation' as part of a larger thing is disgusting frankly.
I said this. I said the danger is speculation turning into blame. I literally said that exact thing.
The part you're missing - on purpose - is the fact that such speculation is natural. The speculation doesn't fuel bigotry because it's absolutely inevitable that anyone would speculate given that evidence.
You are expecting everyone to turn a blind eye to the obvious link between all those areas and the timing, even if it ends up being erroneous - you are asking people to literally turn off their brain and pretend they didn't notice.
Which is stupid. Very, very stupid. It's ignoring reality and pretending only your ideology exists and is correct.
People can be not racist and speculate as to whether asian communities were a factor here. They are not incongruent positions to hold. The fact you came in and said "definitely non-racist" in response speaks volumes.
