Funny you say that because a lot of what they 'say' has been proven wrong or never gone anywhere.

I love this attitude , just because they are scientists that they are right.

The chief scientist was right when he broke his OWN rules and was sacked.

The list of susceptible conditions has increased from old and sick to bald and just being male.

The government themselves are launching an urgent enquiry because they may have over exagerated the numbers

Maybe not everything you read about is right? Maybe not everything is correct just because a doctor or scientist has said it?

After all there is plenty of stories out there that these scientists gave the wrong advice before lockdown.

Maybe just maybe stop believing everything you hear and start actually using your own mind to think.
So if we shouldn't believe or trust the people who have experience and qualifications in this field, where do you suggest we get our information from instead in order to make that informed decision?

And overwhelmed hospitals won't?

I'm inclined to think the NHS has had time to get itself sorted now. The situation with PPE, ventilators and all that is much better than it was, and I vaguely recall reading that hospitals have become better at treating the virus than they were at the start of the pandemic, which eases the pressure somewhat.

It’s an interesting point but isn’t there now a move away from the use of ventilators in treating COVID?

Were the hospitals even overwhelmed to begin with regarding COVID? Nurses I spoke to round here said they weren't.

Perhaps take more than one source of information in rather than just regurgitate the official line over and over?

Otherwise we are believing everything even when it's wrong.

Quite, but obviously there is a point, hypothetically, where they could be overwhelmed, and what I'm trying to say is that whilst lockdown may be detrimental to the psychological state of some, the virus itself can be too, and the op ought to have a bit more empathy.

Stuck in a bedsit vs working in the leisure industry whilst sharing home with someone who's high risk.
