Na itll be fine the worst is deffo over
Not getting back to a thousand a day
It would all be ready be going back to that now because theres hardly any rules being followed by most people..

what difference will abit of cold weather make when its been crap weathet for last couple months anyway

Every bit of epidemiological evidence suggests you're horribly wrong mate, but I obviously hope you're right.

We've been luck in Australia, 25M people.
1st wave; 110 deaths
2nd wave; 90% melbourne, 8% sydney, 2% The rest of the Country. These are my approximations off figures published.
55 deaths - so far...and up to now it shows no signs of slacking

My verdict - they slacked it off too much too soon...and in Victoria at least, they seem reluctant to wind it back up...

All this is not helped by what seems to be an Increase public stupidity...again my opinion.

I think there will be 3rd, 4th and 5th waves
We kind of just went back to normal quickly didn't we, paying the price for it now. Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted

Yer im trying abit of postive thinking tbf mate, dont wanna think about anything other than things getting better

its better for my mental health

If schools are closed then child minding/creches will be closed, if that happens it's Lockdown again, and I have my doubts that will happen again, for no other reason other than we can't afford it.

In which case the criteria that saw schools shut during spring/summer would have to be eased you'd imagine? If we look around Europe, then infection numbers up and around those seen in March are beginning to be seen again, so...

Well we did open back up when the numbers were still higher than when we locked down.

A work colleague is convinced we'll be back in full lockdown Sept or Oct

LONDON: A pet cat in the United Kingdom has tested positive for COVID-19 in the first animal infection reported in the UK, the government said on Monday (Jul 27).It is believed to have contracted the coronavirus from its owners.

"There is no evidence to suggest that the animal was involved in transmission of the disease to its owners or that pets or other domestic animals are able to transmit the virus to people," the government said on its website.

It added that the cat and its owners have since made a full recovery.

"This is a very rare event with infected animals detected to date only showing mild clinical signs and recovering within in a few days," said the UK’s chief veterinary officer Christine Middlemiss.

"We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update our guidance to pet owners should the situation change."

I am full of good news :(
My hospital system has broken it's peak admissions record - new COVID-19 census is 89 (previous high 78 couple months ago)
Still a relatively low number in the sense of bed availability for the region.

Now to head off to the not even arsed animal thread for some cute animal therapy

A fair number of those working in Public Health think the same, although perhaps more towards January.
We should all get on the immune boosting supplements, every year before going back to work in September I start on Zinc and vitamin c and I've never caught a dose when students and other staff are out I'm still there, I might look into vitamin d this year although I do know that a vitamin d supplement is not recommended for everyone, but it is something that most of us lack in the winter months when we go inside and miss out on the sun.
They won't do you any harm but could give you a little boost if you need it.

A Covid vaccine would be useful too.
