One of the concerns around mask wearing seems to have been proved to be unfounded.

Can only speak for myself but in my line of work if I have to wear protective gear for a job it makes me far far more conscious of protecting myself rather than being more complacent. Even if its just rubber gloves

Can't believe how affronted everyone is regarding the snap quarantining decision. It seems they would rather a full lockdown again if it spreads like wildfire.

The government clearly did the right thing. It's just the fact it's the government doing it that causes people to moan, because everything they do is wrong in their eyes.

It's not just a plan, not even a big plan, nor a very big plan it's a very very big plan.. god knows what way we'll have to be fitted out for getting back to work, I'd say anything short of a full hazmet suit will have the unions kicking off.. I am looking forward to getting back to work, whatever it may look like.

It all doesn't matter - that second wave is coming September/October and will make all such plans moot.

It's an interesting one isn't it? Like you, I suspect there will be a second wave around autumn time, in which case will schools remain shut through until Christmas? It's hard to see that much will have changed from when the unions wanted them shut during spring and early summer.

If schools are closed then child minding/creches will be closed, if that happens it's Lockdown again, and I have my doubts that will happen again, for no other reason other than we can't afford it.

We've been luck in Australia, 25M people.
1st wave; 110 deaths
2nd wave; 90% melbourne, 8% sydney, 2% The rest of the Country. These are my approximations off figures published.
55 deaths - so far...and up to now it shows no signs of slacking

My verdict - they slacked it off too much too soon...and in Victoria at least, they seem reluctant to wind it back up...

All this is not helped by what seems to be an Increase public stupidity...again my opinion.

I think there will be 3rd, 4th and 5th waves
