town has been pretty quiet really , seems midweek has been busier than expected as people seem to be avoiding busy times . Places with outside areas are doing better and most places finding they’re closing early as people have a couple and head home .

I`ve just spend three nights in the Lake District, staying in two different pubs and eating in another two pubs and it would take me too long to explain how seriously every business in the area of the Lakes I was in, is taking all this.

At the same time the sense of relief that tourists were back was palpable.
Some of these business`s in effect are the " major " employers for isolated rural communities and if they`d have remained shut over the Summer, some of these communities would`ve effectively been wiped out in one go.
During 3 nights and two days, I didn`t see a single person behaving in anyway irresponsibly and that included social distancing on some very busy pathways up the fells.
