By the sounds of it I'm not sure your personality is really gonna be a hit with women anyway so wouldn't worry about that.

The Tories are saying yes now because the gear is there and the info to make face coverings is widespread now; and because the Tories want to see a trickle of customers in shops become a deluge. That answers the question of why hasn't it been implemented in the last few months but doesn't answer 'why now?. The Tories are still making the decisions and are still totally inept.
I think it is primarily for the old (over 60?) and vulnerable. I have had one for the past 10 years or so ( a long way pre 60) due to a dodgy immune system.I always thought I couldn't just go and get a flu jab. I only got mine as I was already in the docs getting some other jabs.
Ill fitting home made craft project masks all round then. Follow the science. Absolutely ludicrous.
I find the comparison of wearing the mask and the idea of oppression completely ridiculous and distasteful.Been wearing a mask when going in shops for months now, on the basis that I am, in fact, not a braindead simpleton and have common courtesy.
Even if you think it's pointless (and yes, the science isn't exactly superb for the efficacy of it), there's loads of people who don't. Just have a bit of decency and wear them.
Oh, and to the Americans particularly, who are prone to the "MAH PERSONAL LIBERTEHS!" stuff - grow up. It's a mask. Just grow up.
Jumped the shark now mate.I'm doing my best to preserve my mental health. Sticking a stupid mask on my face doesnt make me feel good about myself. Some people dont understand mental health and the need for a person to feel good and confident.
That'll be top of Bold Street this weekend.
No dignity; no discipline; no conscience.

town has been pretty quiet really , seems midweek has been busier than expected as people seem to be avoiding busy times . Places with outside areas are doing better and most places finding they’re closing early as people have a couple and head home .
you’ve made clear your opinions on the British public but the vast majority are policing themselves and behaving in a sensible and responsible manner .

Murdering scum. Ordering pubs not to wash glasses and cutlery. During a pandemic too.Masks in the shops.
But feel free to go the pub and for meals where everybody shares glasses and cutlery.

Lol.
I went to town on Saturday for the first time. Couple of drinks outside on Castle street, then a meal. Everyone was very cautious and sensible, seating was appropriately distanced, and to my eye everyone was broadly responsible.
We left early, so it may have got worse later on as the drink kicked in, but anecdotally, rules were well observed.
