I actually spoke about this yesterday - well vaccines in general - with my friend who works at the LSTM and she said it depends on multiple circumstances.

But a ball park figure for the flu is three to fifteen months. Different viruses have different strands, so it can be short-term to most your life.


Until the likelihood of lots of people dying from it stops, I hope it continues. Would you not agree?

No one has said virus can be “hindered” by wearing a mask. The global scientific community are saying that now there is increased contact between people of different households the risk of contracting or spreading the virus is reduced by wearing a mask. You appear to have completely confused the virus itself with the risk of contracting or spreading it.
Your last point merely confirms your complete inability to think coherently and tell the difference between a virus itself and the risk of mitigating the consequences as you now say that wearing a mask from childhood would mean “no one would get ill from any sort of viral infection “.
As for the inability to police the wearing of masks effectively; this doesn’t disprove the science, it merely confirms the high number of thoughtless and/or stupid people.
Now, for the third time of asking; where did you see “you’re all safe now”.
No questions, whataboutery or attempted deflections; where did you see it?

Science is changing all the time as we learn more about the virus. It would be irresponsible not to change our procedures to keep in line.

That's apparently why they offer it every year for the vulnerable because it doesn't last and apparently there's lots of minor adaptations to the strand each year.

There has always been the view that mask wearing by enough people will hinder the transmission of the virus, and many countries took that advice. The reason it wasn't adopted here was because this murderous government failed to secure enough protective wear for the health and care sector and didn't want to divert stock away from there. On top of that, we have a man in charge who previously in his idiot career described the wearing of face coverings for religious / cultural purposes as an affront to western civilisation, so his ideology has weighed against wearing face coverings as he sees it as a civil liberties issue.

If people get so unhealthy that they become obese what civil liberties do they need? I'm not stopping them from eating more cakes and sitting around all lazy forever. Locked up for months and eating more is actually what they want.

How long do flu vaccines last? I've had one but not sure if it's still in effect.

Without being a doctor, I thought you needed a new one each year as the strain changes.

I always thought I couldn't just go and get a flu jab. I only got mine as I was already in the docs getting some other jabs.

That answers the question of why hasn't it been implemented in the last few months but doesn't answer 'why now?. The Tories are still making the decisions and are still totally inept.
