That's just word play.

There was local outbreaks in the first wave, and we all know where they were. That was the first wave, which we haven't even flattened. The next uptick of cases will be the second wave, NOT a series of local difficulties.

What? We have totally flattened the curve. Look at Merica and Brazil. Thats not flattening the curve.

The local difficulties have been Leicester, (dealing with), Weston Super Mare, (dealt with), and an A&E dept in London, (if we all believe twitter).

Oh, and 3 pubs this weekend. Out of 0000's that must have opened.

Dont be complacent, dont be a bell, and this will eventually either go away, be cured, or become part of a new normal.

...or dont sit / stand for hours in a confined space surrounded by lots of people....

I wouldnt. Not for a million pounds. But 4 people at a table in a pub, with their details written down at the door, wont cause a massive outbreak.

Hundreds of people dying each week and thousands becoming infected. That has flattened out f.a.

We are not Germany, Denmark or even France.

The 'local' terminology is pure Orwelllian nonsense.

Add to that all the pubs / bars have a new maximum much reduced capacity, based on the amount of available space within the pub. So there’s loads of space

No one can stand up at the bar or to talk, everything has to be done sitting down.

Yet again, he’s making it up as he goes along to fit his own warped agenda.

Hundreds are not dying every week though. And thousands are not getting infected.

Its not gone away, and its still a danger, (obvs), but the UK have to learn to live with it.

...yeah, because that's how it is up and down the country.

Unlike you, I havnt travelled up and down the country last week.

I do see the pubs in my town and village opening, with caution, with restrictions, and instructions to their punters, who, when I have driven by them, seem to be doing ok.

Granted, Friday and Saturday night in central Bristol may be less, er, disciplined. That pulls us back to the daft minority.

Just yesterday there was 126 deaths and 630 new cases!

They’d reclaim more money if they investigated dodgy claims in your Tory party pete and favourable awarding of large contracts lol
I'm sure that the boss of the clothes manufacturer votes Tory. They'd reclaim a whole load more money if they stopped spouses of Tory small business people sitting on the books doing diddly squat but getting paid dividends.

4 people sitting distanced and behaving at a table is a fantasy scenario. You know it.

Same in the places by me, some are still to open.

I have yet to witness this licensed Armageddon he’s so gleefully describing
