Sharia law for all they wail...Where is Tommy when you need him defending our liberal value's.

Don't think it's rocket science that wearing a mask is going to at least reduce possible transmission and that cannot be a bad thing.

Inside public areas and built up areas in towns and cities, think it's foolish not be wearing one.
I do exactly that. Public transport and in closed conditions.where there is prolonged contact.

This face masks issue.
As far as I believe, up until the last 24 hrs, the overwhelming information regarding the wearing of masks has been that by doing so, you, the user, are protecting others from any infection from you. Wearing a mask will not protect you from others. I am of course talking of the disposable and fashionable type being sported by the general public.
Now all of a sudden, these masks can protect you due to the newly researched decision that the virus can attach itself to minute vapour droplets in the atmosphere. .
The great and the good scientists have only now found this out? I'm smelling bull here. This just a scaremongering exercise to get us wearing them all the time.
And who on earth would benefit from that making everyone wear a mask all the time?

Other than the mask manufacturers.

I'm inferring that at the very beginning of this emergency, this would have been one of the first considerations. In other words "should we tell public to wear masks at all times". From the start, it's been a resounding nah!
But now, as is the current culture, it's as if the advisors have said to support the minority who are wearing masks full time, we'll float this story so more will wear them.

Most other countries have advised to wear masks from a while back.

It will help reduce the spreading of the infection.

It was good to see the issue of Leicester clothes manufacturers raised at the HoC during PMQ’s. It’s about time these factories were looked at both from an employment law and H&S perspective. I would also like to see HMRC dig in to check who has been claiming furlough money and whether people were actually furloughed........

They’d reclaim more money if they investigated dodgy claims in your Tory party pete and favourable awarding of large contracts lol

Former chair of Pizza Express Luke Johnson has been speaking to Radio 4's PM programme.

He says: “These are extraordinary announcements for a government to be making … every bit is helpful."

On whether the August vouchers will work he says: “I think a lot of people are still frightened and so every inducement that can be brought to bear to encourage people to get back to their habits of eating and spending and working is good news.

“I think the government must also help with its messaging and communications …and start encouraging people, as they have in other countries, to get back to a degree of usual behaviour and that will allow businesses to survive and jobs to be maintained.”

So, basicaly, they want to coax out of safety people who have sacrificed a lot to this point to remain healthy just so they can get a few quid spent in restaurants and pubs.

The spiv economy laid bare.

Slowly, carefully, trying to get life back to some sort of normal. (whatever that means now).

Small businesses are the life blood of many towns, and many families, so giving them guidance and financial help is vital to millions of normal folk.

Reading what the Chancellor delivered this afternoon was pretty encouraging. Just must hope that the minority of folk dont ruin it for the rest.

I'm not sure you know what these terms mean Dave o_O Britain may be many things, but it's not a banana republic, and we don't have a spiv economy.

Handing money out to Covid19 incubators is not a great move. We are nowhere near safe enough in terms of infection rates to be doing that, and encouraging more to frequent these businesses is going to ramp up infections. In what way is that 'trying to get life back to normal'?
