Well, that makes going shopping seem sane. Granted, I have not a clue who you are talking about.

I haven't got a clue who he is either! I just read about it in the news earlier. Social media creates celebrities in ways not possible 15 years ago.

Sad to hear that Rook, sorry for your loss x

Know of two couples who got married primarily because one had workplace insurance and so the other could get covered. Our system is very messed up :(

It is very weird that’s for sure. The treatment is excellent, but the costs exorbitant. One of my grown up sons was hospitalised in the USA for a week, when I heard I immediately flew over. He was not insured and the bill was going through the roof. I asked the doctor if he was fit to make the journey back to the U.K. and he said he was, but not before a few more thousand and a five figure bill was presented. It was all the unnecessary tests that got me, I think Pregnancy was the only thing they didn’t check for.....

Genuine question, and I say that cos the question may sound trite.

But in Merica, if someone in hospital dies of Covid, (or anything come to that), do the hospitals go after the surviving family for their bill?

Yes, they would still send a bill to the estate.

It's possible it the patient had insurance, a hospital might write off the patient portion or some of it. However, this is part of what leads to astronomically costs of US healthcare.
Hospitals have to make up the costs of patients that don't have insurance and can't pay.

Hospitals are actually hurting financially right now.
Extra costs - PPE, cleaning
Fewer surgeries/procedures - major source of income

So, after Liverpool this is Birmingham....

Social distancing to be proud of.....
They were there to see a Youtube 'star', a prankster called Canking.
Scum.

When it rains down covid these clowns only have themselves to blame not the Government.

I can't imagine what the thinking was behind organising it, and why anyone would go to such a thing in the middle of a pandemic. But when you look at the overhead video and the overhead stills, you see there's actually not that many people there, and, for most of the time, a lot of them are much further apart than seems from the pic Pete posted.

Not that I'm condoning it, just putting it into perspective
