Good for you. So you really mean open my gym. Cos the ones I visit are basically a room.

There are pubs round my way that could aptly be described as just a room too, and we have to keep in mind that it's pubs and restaurants for whom the social distancing rules have been quite significantly bent for. As Pete said, if it stayed at 2m it wouldn't have been worth opening, and, lest we forget, Chris Witty has just said we should stay at 2m when we can. Going for a pint isn't an essential activity, so it hardly seems worth breaking the 'if we can' guidance for.

To be honest, I can empathise, as there isn't a single person that comes out of a pub healthier than when they went in, yet people are told that gyms are shut for public health reasons. If the government were really bothered about public health then the pubs would stay permanently shut.

Its what folk do in a gym though. That will have the potential to spread any viral disease, let alone this one.

I personally couldnt care less if a pub or a gym opens anyrate cos I wouldnt go to either. What grinds my gears is a gym bunny crying and shaking cos he cant do what he wants to do, blind to the risk to others.

Warendorf, a district not far away from Gutersloh that has just gone into lockdown, is now registering over the limit of 50 new infections per 100,000 people. So theoretically should now go into lockdown too. The regional government was quite slow in locking down Gutersloh (they did it at 260 per 100,000) so will be interesting to see what they do here. Not hard to imagine that people working at that meat plant had plenty of time to travel to nearby districts and infect others.

Edit: just checked. Warendorf locked down too.

Gottingen over 50 per 100,000 now, so will probably lock down soon.

"Remain at least 1m apart while taking mitigating action to reduce the risk of transmission."

WTF does that even mean in the context of a pub? Get a face mask on every time spomeone comes within a metre?

Daft murderous Tory gets.
