We need something similar here. An actual numeric figure that is measurable rather than just an R rating. 50 per 100,000 is actually quite a high benchmark

How big are the regions population wise? Are they like our cities or more like counties?

Good question, not sure on average. Population of Gutersloh is 360,000 roughly. Warendorf is 280,000. Yeah I think a national R rating can be a bit inaccurate.

Say the stedded-up chimp on the door takes your details. What does he do with them? Where does that list go at the end of the night? Chimp decides actually, I don't like you because or your colour, gender, sexual orientation or because you manage to annoy them somehow. Let's face it, it ain't difficult to annoy doormen, is it? Or maybe he thinks you're on your own, very drunk and therefore vulnerable and decides to let his mates know they can break into your house, 'cos you're in the pub. Or perhaps steal your identity, Maybe beat you up on your way home or rape you. I hope some serious thought into how something like this will work has been done, but judging by previous form, I doubt it. Guess we'll see.

PureGym, one of the UK’s largest operators with more than 1 million members, has said criticised the government for claiming to be “at war with obesity”, while also allowing restaurants and pubs to open before gyms.

In a statement, the company said:

We understand that these decisions are not easy, but it is a strange ‘war on obesity’ that sees pubs and restaurants open before gyms.
Our facilities are, on average, the size of five or six doubles tennis courts and are exceptionally well ventilated, enabling people to work and exercise safely and securely.
Through our existing electronic entry system, we know the names and details of every single member in our facilities at any moment.

The statement added that industry-agreed guidance on hygiene and social distancing was submitted to the government early in May and continued:

We are bitterly disappointed that the one sector that has the potential to help people and that has developed clearly workable protocols for safe operations is prevented from opening for a further undefined period.

Me too mate. I'd been thinking of cutting it short for a while, the old hair wasn't as abundant as it once was and as it was getting on my bloody nerves by the end I went for it. Don't think I'll bother with the barbers from now on, though my forehead seems much bigger than I remember.
