Hope you've got a few Euros squirreled away mate. If I remember rightly, bars and tavernas pay the bills for you ?
Nobody knows worldwide whats's going to happen mate.I walked around to the local mini market today,as I looked down in to the village square, all the souvlaki shops, cafes etc were open FFS. I think a tougher approach will be taken by the Mayor on Monday. The season when we all make our money starts on the 1st of May and nobody has a clue what will happen. It's the same wherever you are on the planet though .

Is UK still keeping academic institutions open?

I can see Ireland following France and Spain, and shutting all public places and buildings with exception of vital shops, pharmacies, fuel stations etc.

Travel probably restricted to going to these and to work if still open.

37 new cases today- highest daily jump do far and a second death RIP.

All Masses cancelled this evening and tomorrow in many places. Even our small village church which would usually have well under 100 has cancelled.

There are about 300 working in our office building- surely it must close. 2 entrances used by staff.

University of Liverpool has cancelled classes, seminars and face to face meetings. The libraries are still able to be attended, I think most students can get a lot done online.

Even though we have plenty of weekends where we do very little here in Barcelona and we are in the flat for most of the weekend....this feels very different. Obviously.

the early feeling is mainly one of surreality. Not knowing how long you’ll be doing this. Tonight they talked about a 15 day period before we can return to something more like normal but I don’t read anything anywhere that suggests why doing a lockdown for 15 days and then going back to normal is any kind of solution. Makes me feel like adults talking to kids, just giving a number of days to calm us.

having said that, although I’d personally like to know if they know they in reality that we will be doing this for a couple of months say, I do understand why they wouldn’t want to say that

Are they keeping you off the streets?
